Food Pantry

At the center of Mercy Foundation's services you will find the Food Pantry. Mercy Foundation distributes food to communities in Osceola County, these communities include McLaren, Marydia, Chambers Park, Boggy Creek, St. Cloud, and Holopaw. These underserved communities need our support. Food insecurity affects people of all ages, ethnicities, and races. In 2020, 13.8 million households were without fresh, nutritious foods to nourish their bodies.

During the year 2021, Mercy Foundation held 42 Food Distributions, providing shelf stable food, fresh eggs, fresh fruits, and vegetables to the people within these communities who needed help the most. We distributed food to approximately 6,000 families in need. That equates to roughly 18,000 food insecure individuals.

With the support of our community partners and donors, our food pantry gave out 350 turkeys in 2020 and 400 turkeys in 2021. Kissimmee Police Department joined us at McLaren Circle where organizations such as the Red Cross and the City of St. Cloud came to pick up turkeys to distribute.

Mercy Foundation takes care of a lot of the community members, especially senior citizens', providing food and medical services to help them maintain a healthy life. Food Pantry Application
